A government delegation led by Agriculture Minister Matia Chowdhury this (Thursday) morning arrived at the gate no-4 of the BDR Headquarters at about 8:35am for further negotiations with the mutineers.
The minister could not enter the Bangladesh Rifles Headquarters but the BDR jawans gave them chairs to sit outside the gate.
Matia was accompanied by State Minister for Law Quamrul Islam, State Minister for LGRD Jahangir Kabir Nanak, lawmaker Fazle Noor Taposh and IGP of Police Nur Mohammad.
The delegation was talking to the rebel BDR Jawans till filing of this report at about 9:00am.
Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad also reached near Ambala Inn adjacent to the BDR Headquarters at about 6:30am.
BDR mutineers started laying down their arms at about 1:00am Thursday after over 18 hours of the mutiny.
