The relatives of a dead put up barricades on the Rampura TV Road since 10:00am today as police picked up a few family members of the deceased following the death in Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
The emergency services at DMCH resumed as the intern doctors of the medical college called off their strike that was ensued centring the death of the patient, Shah Imran.
The intern doctors did not return to their work till 12noon.
The emergency services of the hospital remained stand still nearly 10 hours after the untoward incident at the DMCH.
Other doctors went to their works as Shahbagh police today picked up the family members of the deceased who misbehaved with the inter doctors bringing their negligence for the reason of the death.
The gate of the hospital that was padlocked last night was reopened at about 10:25am.
Meanwhile, the relatives of the dead, a supplier of rice and edible oil of the capital's Rampura area, put up barricades on the busy Rampura TV Road protesting the detention of their relatives.
The roadblock caused traffic congestion in the area.
They also demanded immediate release of their relatives.
Meanwhile, Health Minister AFM Ruhul Haque and one of the prime ministers' adviser went to the hospital this morning and settled this issue after holding talks with the agitating intern doctors, private television channel ATN Bangla reports.
The intern doctors stopped working early today around 12:15am as the relatives of the deceased misbehaved with them.
The interns also locked the gate of the hospital around 12:15am, causing suffering to the patients coming to hospital for treatment.
