CMM court activities halt as 821 mutineers appear

All proceedings of the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate's (CMM) Court, Dhaka suspended today as the officers concerned produced 821 suspected mutineers, arrested in connection with the BDR carnage case, before the court.


Today is the fixed date for producing the border guards for their suspected involvement in February 25-26 Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) Pilkhana headquarters bloodshed before the court.


Since morning no people including lawyers are permitted to enter the court to ensure security.


The gates of the court were cordon off by barbed ware to avoid any untoward incident. 


Additional police have been deployed in and around the court area.
